Time and Place.
Korean Grammar: Sentence Structures ~에 가다/안 가다, Particle ~에

~에 가다(가요)
= to go to
가다(가요) means “to go” and it’s usually used together
with particle ~에.
Its original form is 가다 but
it’s used in natural conversational form “가요” more often.

Ex.
오늘 학교에 가요 (I go to school today)
집에 가요 (I go home)
공원에 가요 (I go to park)
진 씨는 도서관에 가요 (Jin goes to library)
선생님은 교실에 가요 (The teacher goes to the classroom)

~에 안 가요
=not go to~
It’s a negative form of ~에 가요.
It is translated as “not go to” certain place.

Ex.
일요일이에요. 학교에 안 가요 (It’s Sunday. I don’t go to school)
회사에 안 가요 (I don’t go to company)
안 아파요. 병원에 안 가요 (I’m not sick. I don’t go to hospital)
카페에 안 가요. 식당에 가요. (I don’t go to cafe. I go to restaurant)
운동 안 해요. 헬스장에 안 가요. (I don’t work out. I don’t go to gym)

~에 
= in / at /on (the time)
It’s a particle attached to time/moment.

Ex.
월요일에 공부해요 (I study on Monday)
9시에 일해요 (I work at 9)
주말에 운동해요 (I exercise on the weekend)
여섯 시에 청소해요 (I clean at 6)

~에 ~에 가요
=to go to ~ (place) in/at/on~(time)
ICombined usuage of ~에 for Place and ~에 for Time.

Ex.
평일에 학교에 가요 (I go to school on weekdays)
11시에 도서관에 가요 (I go to library at 11)
화요일에 파티에 가요 (I go to party on Tuesday)
세 시에 헬스장에 안 가요 (I don’t go to gym at 3)
주말에 카페에 안 가요 (I don’t go to cafe on the weekend)
